Dr. Karthikeyan Somaskandan is an Assistant Professor (Marketing) at St. Joseph's Institute of Management with a unique blend of academic excellence and professional experience spanning over 18 years in teaching and 2 years in industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Bharathidasan University and post-graduate degrees in Physiotherapy and Psychology. He has qualified in UGC-NET in Management, Human Resource Management and Tamil Nadu SET in Management and Psychology. His diverse academic background and qualifications reflect his commitment to excellence across multiple fields. He brings versatility to the classroom through his expertise across core business disciplines, specializing in marketing and management domains. With over 19 scholarly publications, he has established himself as a dedicated researcher focusing on the intersection of learning organizations, organizational commitment, and strategic management. His scholarly work has been featured in reputable journals including The Learning Organization, South Asian Journal of Marketing, and International Journal of Management. Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Karthikeyan has enriched his expertise through specialized faculty development programs at India's premier business schools, including IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow (Noida Campus), XLRI, XISS, LIBA and TAPMI Manipal. Dr. Karthikeyan has held several key leadership roles at JIM, including his current position as Chair of Examinations, Admissions, and Alumni Relations. Previously, he served as Dean of Students from 2019 to 2022 and as Chair of Co-curricular Activities. .
